Biblical Womanhood Courses

Every Biblical Womanhood Wednesday, students in grades 5 through 11 are refreshed and refined through a highly interactive, discussion-based class devoted to the below areas of emphasis specially geared toward their grade-level stage of development, as well as a focused time of group prayer and Scripture memory:

The Battle of the Heart (5th grade)- emphasizing Scripture’s teachings about the nature of fallen man, the perils of sin, the transformative effect of gospel grace, and the battle that takes place at the deepest levels of our affections, desires, and motivations.

Depending on Christ (6th grade)- emphasizing Scripture’s teachings about man’s need to depend wholly on Christ–both for eternal salvation and for progressive sanctification–as the believer comes to love, obey, and trust Jesus by daily abiding in Him.

Flourishing Relationships (7th grade)- emphasizing Scripture’s guidance for godly relationships by bringing biblical truth to bear on cultural lies to promote personal purity, produce rightly ordered emotions, and resolve everyday conflicts.

Life & Leadership (8th grade)- emphasizing Scripture’s principles for godly decision making as well as the attitudes and actions that characterize godly servant leaders and influencers with the goal of modeling these to the school community and other peers.

Virtues of Biblical Womanhood (9th grade)- emphasizing Scripture’s teachings about the beauty of God's creative and redemptive purpose for women, the various character traits and competencies to which we have been called, and the implications for our service to His kingdom in the family, church, and community.

Evangelism & Apologetics (10th grade)- emphasizing Scripture’s call to mission living, including how to engage unbelievers in spiritual conversations, communicate the biblical gospel, and share one's personal testimony, while forming a basic biblical understanding of competing religious beliefs and opposing worldviews.

Interpersonal Discipleship (11th grade)- emphasizing the sufficiency of Scripture for addressing personal and relational struggles, including a biblical perspective of psychology/mental health and how the power of Christ enables one's self and others to change in practical, profound, and lasting ways.

Capstone Internship (12th grade)- The culmination of our Biblical Womanhood courses is our senior year Capstone Internship. With input from her parents and teachers, each 12th grade student selects a customized internship on or off campus designed to further develop and express her individual gifts and passions while preparing for her future after graduation.
